Workshop schedules
Workshops & Seminars
The Congress has more workshops than any other weekend event in Europe! This means that between 1pm on Friday and 7pm on Sunday there will be more than 75 seminars and workshops (over 140 hours). Many of the most famous teachers in the world will be there, so this is a chance to learn from a unique mix of world class experts.
This amazing choice of workshops will cater for as many different tastes and needs as possible. There will be workshops for advanced, intermediate, improver and beginner level dancers.
Subjects will include:
- Styles such as Egyptian oriental, baladi, shaabi, saidi , American modern, tribal, tribal fusion, European modern, Turkish karsilama, Khaleegy, Magreby and more.
- Use of props including veil, cane, finger cymbals, sword, candelabrum, Isis wings, and more.
- Specialisations including floorwork, spinning, taqasim, tabla solos, playing tabla and more.
Timetable of Workshops and Seminars
Workshop and Seminar Levels
- Level 0
General level in an unusual subject or style that you haven’t tried before - Level 1
Beginner level – taster session for people who have never danced before - Level 2
Improver level for dancers who have been learning for 6 months – 2 years - Level 3
Intermediate level for those with 2 years’ experience or more - Level 4
Advanced level for very proficient dancers and professional dancers - Professional
Masterclasses are only open to those who have booked separately
Props
We suggest that you take a veil to all oriental choreography classes.
Light canes are provided to borrow for stick/cane classes, but you may prefer to bring your own. Finger cymbals (sagat/zills) are not provided

How do I get into the workshops at the Congress?
Masterclasses
Masterclasses for professional and advanced level dancers. These are taken in small groups and are paid for separately. To book please email us on info@bellydancecongress.com
